THE PINK PALACE
The biggest art project Carol has undertaken was transforming a late 1920’s 1 bedroom 1 bath with a bonus room into a living transitional art space. The project encompasses her home, art studio, and workspace. Like Carol, the Pink Palace is dynamic and in constant states of transformation.
Currently, the renovation took 1 year and 12 gallons of paint. The majority of the furnishings are second hand items. She has repurposed a multitude of items such as closet doors, hand crafted items, refurbished furniture and combined it with vintage pieces. The majority of the funding for the project came from flipping items she purchased second hand.
The Pink Palace, as Carol refers to the space has become a source of inspiration for her and other artists. As you might have recognized some of the rooms from being featured in advertisements used throughout the world and various photoshoots.
